We Believe Every Child Deserves to Have a Family Where They Feel Seen, Loved, Safe & Cared For
Many children live in a constant state of stress with fears, flashbacks, and uncertainty. Simply changing the environment doesn't stop the impacts of trauma. Bonded relationships with a trust-worthy adult is critical to healing the brain, body, biology, beliefs, and behaviors of a child with a history of trauma.

Leading With A Connection-First Approach
Many caregivers unintentionally correct more than they connect. This creates instability within the relationship between caregivers and their children.
TBRI® flips this approach. Connection isn’t a reward, its the foundation that helps children feel safe, regulated, and able to respond to correction. Connection becomes our number one goal in everything—even while holding children accountable.
This isn't about lowering expectations. It's about meeting children where they are and building the secure attachment necessary for them to thrive.
The specialized training and therapeutic small groups we offer are essential in keeping connection front and center in the life of a family.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention®
Trust-based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), created by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross, is a holistic, attachment rich, evidence-based intervention designed to meet the complex needs of people who have a history of trauma.
Why TBRI® Works
“Behavior is the language of unmet needs.” Dr. Karyn Purvis. TBRI® works by addressing the root causes of challenging behaviors instead of simply the behaviors themselves. The trusting relationships built within the framework of TBRI® heal attachment wounds, build resilience, and support emotional growth.
Who TBRI® is For
TBRI® is for every caregiver or professional seeking to build connection, support healing, and guide children in a trauma-informed way.
Nurture Groups
Nurture groups are a foundational element of our TBRI® programs. Adults and children practice the four qualities of healthy relationships including giving and receiving care, learning to negotiate needs , and communicating one’s own thoughts and ideas. Nurture groups are also the ideal time to practice social-emotional skills.
Family Nurture Nights
Connect with your child through play, nurture, and TBRI® activities. Trained facilitators provide one-on-one support while you practice TBRI® skills. These quarterly events include opportunities to connect with other families over dinner. Caregivers leave equipped to lead nurture groups at home.
TBRI® & Research-Based Resources
Evidenced, rigorous, and comprehensive backed up by decades of research, TBRI® has emerged as the gold standard evidence-based approach to working with children impacted by trauma.
